“You won’t drag me into any darkness. I’ve had my own fair share, remember? Nothing you tell me will change the way I feel about you. I have every intention of bringing you into the light, my light…my luminoso.” –Lucca

WOW! That’s all I can say! I have been blown away by SJ Molloy’s debut novel! I have been left wanting more! Lexi is about as closed off to people as anyone can get. She isn’t very trusting, and she is very cautious about whom she lets in, and even those who she lets in don’t always get to know everything about her. She keeps herself closed off because of her traumatic childhood. She doesn’t like to think about what happened to her, and no matter how many times she has been in therapy, she still is unable to get beyond the pain of her past. In a chance run in with a handsome stranger, Lexi meets Lucca, the sexy as hell Italian. He stirs certain feelings inside Lexi that she never wanted to feel. Just when she pushes away thoughts of Lucca and heads out on vacation with her bestie Hazel, Lucca turns up at the same place. Unable to stay away from each other, sparks fly between Lucca and Lexi. Lucca knows that she is something special, and Lexi knows that she can’t resist Lucca’s love and charm for long. Lucca isn’t without his own tortured past, which we know I can’t resist in a book boyfriend. He’s amazingly sweet and caring, and he truly helps bring Lexi out of her shell and gets her to let someone in. It is a beautiful story, and I can’t wait for book 2!

Alexis “Lexi” Robertson has had an unimaginably brutal childhood, and because of that, she doesn’t trust anyone. She vows never to let a stranger break the boundaries and touch her, and there are only a few people that are aware of her past and her scars, but these few people Lexi cares for deeply. Now as an adult, she works as a physiotherapist, lives with her brother, Cameron, her dog, Doris, and her best friend, Hazel, and deals with her past by mentally filing everything away. When Lucca comes into her office to get his back checked out, she immediately feels things towards him she’s never felt before.

Lucca Caruso is an Italian God with a hot body, the bluest eyes you’ve ever seen, and a heart of gold. Unbeknownst to Lexi, he owns Club di Energia where she works, and he is drawn to Lexi right away when he goes into her office. He can’t figure out why she won’t give in to him or answer his questions, but he is determined to find out more about her.

When Lexi goes on a two week holiday with Hazel to Italy for cooking classes, the last person she expects to see is Lucca. Because of her past, she thinks he has to be stalking her and she has a full-blown panic attack in front of everyone. When Lucca takes it upon himself to care for Lexi and she finds herself alone with him, the chemistry is undeniable, but she still won’t break her rules. Can she let go of her past enough to open up to a real relationship? Can Lucca convince her of her beauty, scars and all? Can she trust him with her deepest secrets or will it only push him away?

File under S for sexy times…lots of them! This book was steamy! I can’t help but feel like it moved way too fast in a lot of parts and it was a little unbelievable, but it’s fiction, right? Who doesn’t want a super sweet, attentive, emotional, and HOT Italian god to worship them? I loved how the author was so colorful and descriptive, and I couldn’t help but feel for the characters. I’m looking forward to more from Lexi and Lucca!

Big thanks to S.J. for an ARC copy for review.

What a great debut novel from S.J. This story definitely had me hooked from beginning to end. It has everything from sensual and steaming romance, painful pasts, heartache, and healing. This is about Lucca and Lexi trying to recover from their haunted pasts and manage to find happiness and true love with each other.

The main heroine, Lexi is a smart, savvy, and independent young woman, yet the sadness and despair within her is weighing her down. The hero of the story is Lucca, who is dashingly

handsome, caring, and devoted, but underneath he is vulnerable and scarred. It was heart wrenching to know how much they were suffering with their buried secrets. But, fate works its magic and brings these two souls together. The connection between Lexi and Lucca both emotionally and physically was undeniably perfect. The love they had for each other was very heartfelt. And Lucca really has a way with words…

“God, I loved it. That feeling of you, of us together… Lexi, I have never loved anyone as much” ~ Lucca to Lexi

The ending left off in a good place, but the epilogue has me worried that something from the past isn’t necessarily left behind. It makes me really anxious for a sequel.

ED’s Review of Lussuria by SJ Molloy

This book was received from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Lussuria is the story of a deeply troubled and damaged woman who learns its okay to move into the light and heal when loved completely by one man. She is wary, and cautious, and fearful of everyone because of her horrific childhood. He is good, and kind, and loving and lovely because of his idealistic childhood. Ms. Molloy crafts us a deeply moving and ultimately uplifting story that begins to answer these questions and so much more with her first novel, Lussuria.

Lexi Robertson is an abuse survivor. Although we do not learn everything about her childhood, we learn enough to know that what she suffered at the hands of a monster is enough to make your skin crawl. She has walls around her and her heart, rules about her and her life, and protection and safety are her number one priority. But even though she has closed herself off from much of the world, the few friends and family members she keeps in her circle are her world. With them she is kind, generous, steadfast and loyal. She always has their back because she knows they have hers. And that’s just the way she wants to keep it.

One evening at the new offices of her physiotherapy clinic, in walks Lucca Caruso, all sexy with that yummy Italian accent. He has an injury he’d like Lexi to take a look at, and Lexi feels like she’s been hit by lightning. What the hell is that feeling? After she tells him she is not seeing patients and will be away on vacation, Lucca pushes her and is merciless in his persistence so she ends up treating him anyway. She’s uncomfortable with the feelings she’s having and this chemistry between them. After treatment, she tells him to follow up with her colleague since she’ll be away and beats feet quickly for her vacation to Tuscany.

Lexi and her friend, Hazel, arrive at a villa in Val D’Orcia, for their vacation. What Lexi hasn’t expected during their first evening was the appearance of a certain Italian hotty that has confused her completely. When her eyes lock with Lucca’s, her world spins – literally – and her life begins to change. Can she listen to her heart and allow these feelings she has towards him surface, or is she so damaged from her past that she will continue to cocoon herself off from love? How much risk does she feel comfortable taking, and is the Lussuria (lust in Italian) worth it? And what, pray tell, has she done to deserve this patient, non-judgmental, gorgeous, kind man and what will he do once he finds out just how horrific her life has been? The story of their love and trust and how it grows and flourishes is a satisfying journey.

Lussuria is a series, so there is no “ending” in the book. Ms. Molloy gives quite a bit of background detail throughout which wraps you up in the characters and sets up the anticipation for what’s to come in Books 2 and 3. She has given them enough depth to grab your attention, but not so much that you’re bored with them by the end of the book. I am actually looking forward to reading the next books because I want to see how everything wraps up. She has shown us the start of a multi-layered story, and I’m really curious to see how it all ties together. Overall, a really enjoyable read. I would give it 4.5/5 stars.

*I was given an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. *

Rate 4 out of 5

I would recommend this book to all my reader friends.

No Spoilers included!

**I really liked this book!

If you like romance and sex well then this book is for you. So naturally is was a book after my own heart! The epilogue was a little confusing and the beginning of the story was a little slow but then I got hooked. I couldn’t put the book down past Chapter 3!!! We are talking about steamy, sexy and very real chemistry between two very attractive people! I loved that the author made them REAL, with real problems, real emotions and real solutions. Lexi and Lucca are great characters that had me rooting for them from the start! I can’t wait to read the next instalment of the Luminara Series!

Five things I loved about Lexi:

1: I loved her that she doesn’t know how beautiful she is.

2: I loved that she is a brunette (as am I!)

3: I loved that she is caring, selfless and loyal.

4: I would definitely want to be friends with her!

5: After finding lust and love she finds that she is “Something Special”!!

Five things I loved about Lucca:

1: He knows what he wants and isn’t afraid to claim it!

2: He is determined.

3: His azure blue eyes (dreamy)!

4: He is selfless and loving.

5: He isn’t afraid of PDA and showing his love for his “Something Special”.

Here is my review on LUSSURIA

Lussuria by SJ Molloy

WOW this is one erotic compassionate story of desire and love

Lexi Robertson is young, who is anxious and haunted by painful memories from her dark past. She lives her life by her rules and has a lot of boundaries; she never gets close to anyone.

Mr Caruso has the most spellbinding blue eyes and a very very big heart. He is also an Italian sex god. (I just found a new BBF).

Lexi and Lucca cross paths and he ignites something in Lexi she never expected, but Lexi doesn’t think she will see him again. That is until fate intrudes.

Lexi and her friend decide to take a 2 week break to a Villa in Val D’Orcia, in Florence, but Lexi is about to get a very big shock which will start her of on a discovery of her heart’s desire.

Can she find the light from her dark life can Mr Caruso help her get through?

WOW BLOODY WOW Ladies what a brilliant story not only is there love there is also a sexy Italian god put into the mix enough to melt your knickers. I’M in LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

This book takes you on an emotional journey of what a life can be after such an upsetting childhood.

I loved this book I never fore sore what Lexi’s dark past would be and I was shocked. It takes a lot to shock me.

The Author goes into lots of details and I loved it she makes you feel like you’re there.

100* STARS FOR THIS BOOK

It’s released on the 26th November and I would certainly recommend it.

Well done SJ MOLLEY thank you so much for allowing me a sneak peak at this book before release I have really enjoyed it

Book Boyfriend Reviews

This book is compelling. It takes you on a journey of a girl’s life that was taken from her at an early age. It was hard to read in some parts of it but was necessary to drive the point home with the story.

You meet Lexi who is a shy and tainted with a distraught life. She was very abused by a psycho path. With all of this though, she manages to open up to a man who is gentle. She is a gorgeous girl with deep scars she has to work through.

Then there is the knight and shining Lucca. He is heavenly. He is hot, smart, rich, and compassionate; I could go on and on. He is the best thing in Lexi’s life. Did I mention he is Italian? Meaning he is dark, handsome, and OMG talks to her in Italian. *Sigh*

I really think this is a great book to pick up and read. It’s a great love story. It only took me a day to read and really encourage you to go and pick it up.

Read along with Sue Blog

I was lucky to get this book and be able to read it as an ARC. Having never heard of this author but reading the blurb which interested me I wondered what I would find. New authors sometimes scare me, I know they rely on getting good reviews, and I know, in myself, I have to be honest.

I opened this book to start reading, by the time I got to the 10th page I knew I was hooked, by the time I got to 37% I was so engrossed it the story that I lost all track of time.

I emailed SJ Molloy to tell her. She says she gets nervous when her book went out ‘out there’ in the hands of other peoples; I understand that a lot having read alongside Indie authors for a while now. Putting that aside I cannot allow it to sway me from the actual book and storytelling though.

My email told her I LOVED it, I really did love this book.

The flashbacks that Lexi got even in moments of tenderness what heart wrenching. The dialogue was great in the book, kept me really entertained between the girls before she left for a trip. Very entertaining characters, very real life like people. Lexi has a lot to contend with from her past, awful things. And every now and again throughout the book we took a glance of some of her sufferings when being brought up and about her mother and brother. It was glimpses that made me continue to read, always wondering when the full story would be revealed.

If I had any downfall in this book, it was to say that Lucca is just a little too perfect.

The book leaves you with a cliff hanger. It goes slightly into the next read, so now, I am hanging on the edge of my seat wondering ……what next!!!! I really NEED the next book.

SJ, if you are reading this, I NEED IT!!!

READERS TESTIMONIALS

Amazing Debut Novel, By Deanna

What! I have to wait until February for the next book! I really enjoyed this book. It is a great start to what sounds like an awesome series. Lucca is everyone’s dream guy and he makes Lexi feel so special even though she doesn’t always feel that way about herself. Like one of my favorite authors, SJ Molloy makes it so easy to feel like you are the actual character experiencing their emotions right along with them. These, to me, are the best type of books. I will try to wait patiently for the next book. I foresee a LOT of drama coming up and I’m excited to see what happens next 🙂

Rollercoaster of emotions, By Dawn
Wow what a Roller coaster of emotion. This book was a wonderful read. I enjoyed it and enjoyed the growth of the characters. I look forward to the next book.
Best erotic romance novel I have read! A book definitely worth reading! Highly recommended, By Willeyewin
All I can say is this book was compelling, gripping, passionate, intense, emotional and filled with steamy sex, love and romance.
I had never heard of this author before but was intrigued after reading the blurb, and I am so glad I purchased it. SJ Molloy had such a way of describing places, people and events throughout the book, which made it very easy to lose oneself in it.
Overall the book was filled with great dialogue, fantastic characterization… and a very clever plot that kept me wanting to turn the pages and not put the book down.
